Big bonus announcement for central government employees…

For the central government employees there is a piece of good news has been delivered to them. The government has recently increased Dearness Allowance (DA) and now they sanctioned special bonus admissible to the employees equal to 40 days salary. Many millions of employees are happy these days for they are going to be paid his or her additional amount in their account soon.

Approval by the President

The bonus announced is being given under the government Productivity Linked Bonus (PLB) scheme. The President has granted his consent to this recommendation so that all the civilian employees of the Indian Army and Army Ordnance Corps will be entitled for this bonus. The amount to be paid is 40 days of the employee’s salaries and is computed prorated to work performance.

Eligibility for the Bonus

This bonus is for the non-gazetted Group B and Group C civilian employees of the Central Government those who are covered under the PLB scheme. Temporary employees even the contractual or casual workers will also receive a bonus of ₹1,200 to be decided on the basis of their wages that they earned for one month.

Bonus Calculation

Bonus calculation is done based on some parameters that apply to this method. For persons paid wages up to ₹ 7,000 the bonus is calculated by deducting from the wage of the employee a part of it proportionate to 30.4 and then multiplying that part by 30. For instance, an employee usually earning ₹20,000 per month will get about ₹19,735 hand out as bonus.
